Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai Expands International Partnerships

Universitaspahlawan.ac.id, UP – The sky is the limit has been Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai’s (UP) tenet in continuously expanding its international partnerships. Having buoyantly collaborated with higher educations and organizations in several countries in Europe, the Rector of UP, Prof. Dr. Amir Luthfi, is opening the doors of higher education institutions and organizations in another continent; the United Stated of America.

On July 5th, he chaired a delegation and took a seat in a momentous flight that carried them to John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York. In no time after touching the ground, he attended sober meetings, inter alia, with representatives of American Diaspora; an associate professor at English Department, Queensborough Community College City, University of New York in Bayside, New York; a research scientist at George Washington University, the Educational and Cultural Attaché and the Educational and Cultural Attaché affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Washington, D.C.

Prof Amir’s commitment and endeavor to provide future generations with quality education and international atmosphere in this so-called flat world bears fruit. The improvement of UP’s faculty members and students English proficiency as well as postgraduate degrees pursuit through national and international funding sources are among worthwhile results he will be taking home.

To start these all off, UP and American Diaspora will be signing a memorandum of understanding and a set of memorandum of agreements in forthcoming August in Jakarta, Indonesia. Not only will Diaspora representatives visit UP in the same month as one of the collaboration implementation activities, but Prof. Amir Luthfi will also attend a cordial invitation for the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) meeting held in May 2020 in St Louis, Missouri, USA.
