The Faculty of Engineering (FT) of the Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai (UP) received good inspirations in the framework of an industrial visit and cooperation with Perseroan Terbatas Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) V Sei. Galuh ,Thursday, (13/09) 2018.

Welcomed by processing assistants Putra Ruhut Sitompul and Dani as assistant quality controllers invite 3 representatives from Industrial Engineering and 4 people from Civil Engineering to tour the factory area and explain how the Standard Operating Procedure is in carrying out work at PTPN V.

UP’s student visits brought field supervisors including Aris Fiatno, ST., MT as the head of Industrial Engineering, Rusrial, ST., MT industrial engineering lecturer, Wahyuni ​​Amalia, ST., MT lecturer in industrial engineering, Widhiyugo Dyatmiko, ST., MT lecturer civil engineering in order to strengthen the relationship so that in the future it will be a good relationship for the Universitas Pahlawan (UP).

“The purpose of this visit was held to broaden students’ knowledge about the world of industry, especially the field of oil palm. Or cooperation with the PTPN V to be a resource person for public lectures at the Hero University of Tuanku Tambusai,” said Aris Fiatno, ST., MT., Head of Industrial Engineering Study Program who is on duty to be a field supervisor.

Finally, he mentioned his hopes for a visit to PTPN V in order to establish cooperation regarding student acceptance of practice and research from the Universitas Pahlawan, Riau.
