UP Lecturers Develop Small and Medium Enterprises, Build Community Entrepreneurial Soul
Universitaspahlawan.ac.id, UP – The Lecturer team Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai (UP) who won the 2019 community service grant from Kemenristekdikti, held a field guidance to the Lower Medium Enterprises (UMK) of Nila fish processed products, formed by PKK women in the village Kuok, Saturday (07/09) 2019, at the Residence of the PKK Chairperson of Kuok Village, Husni, S.Pd.
“Alhamdulillah, UP Community Service Team (PKM) UP can contribute in advancing the Tilapia fish processed by PKK ladies in Kuok Village. Thanks to this PKM grant, our team was able to provide capital assistance to these UMK in full, “said Syafriani, M. Kes., As the Chairperson of the PKM, the winner of the PKM grant from Universitas Pahlawan.
The lecturer of the S1 Public Health Study Program, Universitas Pahlawan said that the assistance provided was not only in the form of tools and materials for business development. We also use this PKM to give guidance to PKK women how to market processed Nila fish products, so that the sales of processed Tilapia fish can increase, such as making good sales packages that are compatible with the modern market.
According to information from UP PKM Team, Hastuti, M.Pd., PKK Kuok Village women who are members of UMK who process tilapia are given all the necessities to build a business including, Ampia, Blender, Sealer, Spiner, Scales, Steamer, Steam Pot, Mixer Plastic packaging, stickers, and materials for initial manufacturing, have been given directly to the Kuok Village UKM as capital for business development.
As chairman of the Kuok Village PKK, Husni. S.Pd., expressed his gratitude to the PKM lecturer team from Pahlawan University for providing the opportunity to develop community businesses, he and the PKK Team greatly appreciated community service activities because they felt that they were helping the Nila fish farmers of Kuok Village and UKM engaged in processing fish products Indigo.
